Rodríguez´s series “Answered Prayers” is based on the saying attributed to St Theresa of Avila : “there are more tears shed over answered prayers than over unanswered prayers”. Bruna is a neighbour of Rodríguez who, when he saw her on the street, thought, “her strong personality and powerful face seemed the perfect incarnation of the pain of our times”.
